J LINE Shipping is a maritime solutions company specialising in ship-to-ship (STS) operations, supported by flag registration and seafarer documentation, vessel inspections, and crew change, husbandry, bunkering and ship management support, for shipowners, charterers and vessel operators.
Our founding story
Built across borders.
J LINE was founded by Jessamyn De Vicente with a vision to expand maritime opportunities beyond the Philippines and contribute to the development of strategic maritime locations, particularly the Maldives.
That vision shared a personal purpose: to build an STS business with her husband, Capt. Jay De Vicente, and put his accumulated maritime skills and technical experience to wider use.
Establishing J LINE required persistence, entering unfamiliar markets, and building relationships across borders. Its purpose extends beyond business growth: to create opportunities for maritime professionals, develop technical capability, and help establish locations where vessel activity can support a stronger maritime services network.

Jessamyn founded J LINE to take maritime opportunity beyond the Philippines and to help develop strategic maritime locations, particularly the Maldives. She built the company across borders, entering unfamiliar markets and forming the relationships that J LINE's service network rests on.

Capt. Jay De Vicente
Capt. Jay brings the accumulated seagoing skill and technical experience at the centre of J LINE's STS work: the judgement that decides whether an operation is ready, and what must change before it is.
